Secure Your RateHawk Account With Two-Factor Authentication

Secure Your RateHawk Account With Two-Factor Authentication

At RateHawk, your security is paramount. Despite our vigilance, the threat of internet fraud is evolving and can impact everyone. Hackers have grown more sophisticated, requiring us to enhance our defenses.

Unwanted access to accounts can lead to unauthorized bookings, resulting in financial losses that are often difficult to resolve. To address this, we’ve introduced two-factor authentication (2FA) to fortify your account against such vulnerabilities.

If 2FA is not available in your account yet, rest assured that we are working on it and will be launching in your region soon.

Why you should enable 2FA

  • Additional protection: With 2FA, you no longer need to worry about your money and data security.
  • Easy to connect: You can enable 2FA in just a few clicks. You only need to open your account and have your mobile phone nearby.
  • Smart system: In the case of a suspicious login, we will send an SMS to your 2FA device to notify you.

How it works

Ordinarily, accessing your RateHawk account requires only a username and password. With 2FA, you gain extra protection against hacking for your account. When you log in to your account with 2FA enabled, you’ll provide your standard email and password but also receive an SMS code to verify that it’s you. This means that even if a hacker breaks your password, they’ll still be blocked from accessing the account.

Convenient security

Our intelligent anti-fraud system, Riskified, assesses login attempts and only requests the 2FA code when suspicious activity is detected. This means you won’t need to input the code with every log in, simplifying your experience while enhancing security.

Enabling 2FA

  • Navigate to “My Profile”.

  • Scroll to the “Security” option.

  • Activate the toggle under Two-Factor Authentication”.

If all your agents access RateHawk using the same account, the confirmation code will be sent to the same phone number — even if different people are trying to log in.
Therefore, it is very important to register each employee under their own role in the system so they can have full autonomy.
