Personal email reminders for cancellation deadlines
Staying on top of cancellation deadlines is essential for maintaining control over bookings and delivering a reliable service to your clients. To support this, RateHawk is introducing enhanced personal email reminders.
Previously, reminders were often sent to general contacts, meaning the person responsible for the booking might not have been aware of upcoming deadlines. This could lead to missed actions and unintended cancellations.
With these personal reminders, booking creators receive direct notifications to take timely action, reducing missed deadlines, and improving overall customer satisfaction.
What’s new:
- Targeted notifications: Reminders are sent directly to the manager who created the booking.
- Expanded coverage: Coverage now includes both accommodation and transportation services, including transfers and car rentals.
- Customizable timing: Flexible timing options — set reminders from 1 to 30 days before cancellation (the default is 4 days).
How it works:
- Go to “My profile” → “Notification settings”
- Select your preferred reminder timing (1–30 days before the deadline)
- Click “Save”
- Start receiving personalized reminders

Expanded train routes with cross-border connections
RateHawk continues to enhance its train ticket offering by introducing more complex cross-border routes. You can now book journeys operated by more than one carrier within a single itinerary — giving you greater flexibility and business value when planning travel across regions.
This update simplifies the booking process for seamless rail journeys, especially for routes that previously required separate, manual coordination.
New routes include
- London – Lyon
- Leeds – Paris
- Tirano – Locarno
- Köln – Gent
- Toledo – Zaragoza
Date amendments for greater booking flexibility
RateHawk’s amendment feature gives you more control over your bookings by allowing you to request key changes directly from your account — without needing to contact support.
You can quickly shorten the duration of stay when plans change or update guest names when corrections are needed, helping you respond faster to client needs and manage bookings more efficiently.
Most amendment requests are processed automatically within minutes and reflected in both the booking and voucher. If automatic processing is unavailable, your request is forwarded to support — no further action is required.
To make changes to a booking:
- Go to the “Orders” section and open the booking card
- Click “Modify order”
- Select “Dates of stay” or “Guest’s first or last name”
- Submit your request
Two-factor authentication mass launch with TOTP for enhanced account security
Protecting your RateHawk account means protecting your data, bookings, and daily operations. To strengthen account security across the platform, RateHawk has rolled out the two-factor authentication (2FA) using TOTP — time-based one-time passwords.
This additional layer of protection reduces the risk of unauthorized access — even if login credentials are compromised — helping you maintain secure and uninterrupted operations. 2FA is now available by default in account settings for all users and can be activated at any time.
How it works:
- Log in to your account and go to “Edit profile.”
- Scroll to the “Activate two-factor authentication” section.
- Enable 2FA via an authenticator app (TOTP).
- Scan the QR code using your preferred app — for example, Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
- Enter the 6-digit code and click “Continue” to complete setup.

Quotes updates for smarter offer management
RateHawk continues to enhance the Quotes tool to help you create more flexible, personalized, and conversion-driven offers for your clients. The latest updates give you greater control over how offers are presented, expand your ability to build complete travel solutions, and streamline the payment process.
Manual sorting in Quotes
You can now rearrange the order of offerings directly within a Quote, allowing you to highlight the most relevant options first and better tailor each proposal to your client’s needs.
Transfers in Quotes
You can now add transfers directly to Quotes, making it easier to create complete travel offers within a single proposal by combining accommodation and transportation services.
Pay from Quotes
Both you and your clients can now complete payments directly from Quotes. When creating a Quote, you can choose who will handle the payment — either you or your client.
This simplifies the booking flow by allowing clients to select an option and pay immediately, reducing delays and improving conversion.
API updates
Pre-filtered search results for partners
RateHawk continues to enhance API performance and usability by introducing pre-filtered search results. Partners can now receive accommodation options already filtered based on key criteria — eliminating the need for additional filtering after a full data pull.
What’s new:
- Pre-filtered accommodation results are delivered directly in search responses.
- Filtering available across key SERP endpoints: Hotels, geo, region, and hotelpage
Room size added to the content API
Partners can now access room size information directly through the Content API, providing additional detail to support more informed booking decisions and improve the end-user experience.
Important:
- Room size data is available exclusively via the Content API.
- Activation requires signing a new addendum.
- To enable this feature, contact Support or your API Optimization Manager.

Expanding our platform partnerships
RateHawk continues to strengthen its connectivity ecosystem by expanding partnerships with leading travel technology platforms. Connecting via a tech platform allows you to accelerate time to market, reduce technical complexity, and focus on growing your business rather than building infrastructure from scratch.
New partners include:
- Atharva Infotech (India, Middle East).
- Cangooroo (LATAM, South Europe).
- Codegen (UK, EU).
- Datagest (Italy).
- Entrada (Greece, Cyprus).
- And many more.
RateHawk’s commitment remains unchanged — we provide the technology, so you can focus on seamless growth.
RateHawk impact: Shaping industry conversations
In Q1, our team contributed to industry discussions through speaker participation. For International Women’s Day, Astrid Kastberg, Managing Director at RateHawk, joined a panel discussion on female leadership in travel tech, sharing insights on building inclusive company cultures, supporting career growth, and strengthening representation in leadership roles.

Astrid Kastberg,
Managing Director of RateHawk
“At RateHawk, 63% of the employees are women, while 60 % of managers are female” – explains Astrid Kastberg, Managing Director of RateHawk. “For me, this is the result of a supportive company culture and flexible work that enable women and men to do multiple roles both at work and at home. It also allows them to thrive in leadership.”
In Kastberg’s opinion, initiatives that celebrate diverse personalities and encourage women to promote themselves can improve gender equality in travel tech companies. When these initiatives are organically integrated into the company culture as core values, they create safer access to leadership roles for women.
