The MIDOCO Group unites the companies Midoco GmbH from Hilden Germany and Umbrella AG from Wetzikon in Switzerland and has customers in more than 60 countries.

The MTIX Midoco Travel Index® displays daily sales performance in the travel retail industry for Business Travel, Leisure Online, and Leisure Offline in Germany and Austria. The figures are based on a representative sample of over 11 billion Euros of annual turnover, making the MTIX Midoco Travel Index® the most accurate and up-to-date indicator of industry performance. It provides current sales development information on a daily basis for the Leisure Online (OTAs), Leisure Offline (travel agencies), and Business Travel sectors.

To enable historical comparisons, the MTIX Midoco Travel Index® also presents representative values for each year and day since 2018. This allows for an exact illustration of the percentage change and course of development across different time periods. The MTIX Midoco Travel Index® is calculated based on the average value of travel services sold in Germany in 2018, which is indexed with the value 1000 and represented as the base 1000 line in the chart.

To smooth out fluctuations caused by days of the week, the MTIX Midoco Travel Index® is displayed as a rolling 7-day average (Simple Moving 7-Day-Average). The calculation of the displayed percentage development is also based on this 7-day average.
