A UAE delegation, headed by the Minister of State for Financial Affairs Obaid Humaid Al Tayer and Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Mari, signed an agreement on 20 October with the head of the Israeli government Benjamin Netanyahu establishing direct air communication between the two countries. As a result, 14 flights per week will be carried out between Tel Aviv, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Flydubai, an airline based in Dubai, has announced the start of regular flights between UAE and Israel. Beginning 26 November, flydubai will run two flights per day from each of Dubai and Tel Aviv. Tickets are already available on the airline’s website, and a return flight costs from $450.

Israeli airline El Al will start flights on 13 December. Its number of flights depends on the day, for example, it plans one on Saturdays and three on Sundays. A return ticket will cost around $600.

To enter Israel, foreigners need:

  • To fill in an online health form 24 hours before departure and to bring a print-out with them;
  • To check in to the flight online on the airline’s website;
  • To provide a health insurance certificate, including coverage for COVID-19.

Tourists arriving in UAE need to provide a negative COVID-19 test taken no earlier than 96 hours before departure. If you take the COVID-19 test immediately upon entry at Dubai, you need to sign an agreement that you will isolate until the test results are ready. You also need to download the DXB Smart app on an iOS or Android device.

Both in Israel and in UAE you need to observe the COVID-19 safety measures: wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth, maintain a social distance of at least two meters, and observe personal hygiene regulations.
