This quarter, we’ve rolled out a series of new tools designed to improve efficiency and enhance user experience.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Security is our top priority. Unwanted access to accounts can lead to unauthorized bookings, resulting in financial losses that are often difficult to resolve.
We now offer an additional layer of protection with 2FA, ensuring that your RateHawk account is even more secure.
New commission repayment update
Our improved system boosts transparency and simplifies commission repayments for our partners.
Agents with Master and Finance roles have the autonomy to manage commissions either directly, one by one, or by setting up automated withdrawals — both for all bookings made within a month.
Air tickets refunds feature
We’ve made refunds easier than ever with our new online air ticket refund feature. RateHawk’s new feature delivers greater flexibility and reduced waiting time, reflecting our dedication to empowering travel professionals with advanced solutions.
Offline requests in one tab
Sending offline requests has never been easier. The new feature allows you to organize accommodation, transfers, and car rentals — all in one place.
While the process and forms to order offline remain the same, we have simply put them all together to make it even easier for you to get everything you need.
Name amendments feature
With our new name amendments feature, you can now make name changes directly in your account. Request the guest’s name change online, and it’ll be done immediately!
Renaming the Manager role to Agent
We’ve listened to your feedback! Previously, when adding a user, the Manager role was confusing for some. We’ve now renamed this role to Agent to better reflect its purpose. Rest assured, all the properties of this role remain the same. To assign or update a user’s role, simply go to Settings > Users, where roles can be changed for existing users or selected when adding new users.
Additionally, we’ve expanded our platform with new language options — Vietnamese, Japanese, and Ukrainian — reaching even more global users.
API updates
Our API platform continues to grow with exciting updates that enhance user experience and simplify booking processes:
- Pre-book feature in API rollout: Now available on platforms including WBE, Juniper, Netstorming, Travel Compositor, ZentrumHub, BePro, and GP Solutions, this feature enhances your booking success rates and ensures an efficient booking process.
- GIATA partnership announcement: Our collaboration with mapping provider GIATA adds enhanced travel technology solutions, improving service delivery and booking accuracy for our partners.
- Tech-platforms launch: We’ve launched several new integrations with global tech platforms to streamline processes for travel agents — Travel Connection Technology (TCT), Estea Labs, WOOBA, Iboosy. We believe the future of travel lies in API integrations, simplifying routine tasks to save time and expand your business.
Partnerships and collaborations
RateHawk has continued to strengthen its global footprint through strategic partnerships and new collaborations:
- Paxconnect launch: We are proud to launch our collaboration with Paxconnect, a key player in the travel technology sector. This collaboration offers advanced tools and functionality to streamline the booking process for users.
- Uniglobe global partnership: RateHawk has expanded its global presence by joining forces with Uniglobe, one of the world’s leading travel management networks.
In addition, RateHawk is now a member of the Portuguese Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism (APAVT), further expanding our influence in the European market.
Events and exhibitions
IFTM 2024
RateHawk was well-represented at one of the most important events for travel professionals, highlighting our growth and expanding partnerships.
Lufthansa City Center Travel Agencies Annual Summit
Held in Braga, this event provided a platform for industry leaders to connect and discuss innovations in travel.
We left the summit buzzing with fresh insights, ready to tackle growth challenges and streamline processes with our partners.
Inaugural event in Oman
We hosted our first event in Oman, celebrating the region’s vibrant travel market.
As we near the end of 2024, we anticipate further growth in the region.
Our highlights also include:
- A cruise across the Szczecin Lagoon in partnership with LOT Polish Airline,
- RateHawk D/A/CH team meeting in Koblenz, Germany,
- The Skal Mid-Winter Ball in Sydney, Australia, where RateHawk Australia was a co-sponsor.
We also celebrated our inaugural events in Bangkok and Phuket, bringing together nearly 100 travel agents to engage with the RateHawk platform.
Awards and recognition
RateHawk’s commitment to excellence was recognized this quarter as we received the Online Travel Agency of the Year award at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards. Additionally, we’ve been nominated for the Best Travel Awards, and we encourage our community to cast their votes and support us in securing this prestigious recognition.
