This quarter marked a major milestone — RateHawk turned nine! Over nearly a decade, we’ve evolved from an ambitious startup to a global travel tech leader trusted by partners worldwide. To mark the occasion, we published two special articles:

Product launches and updates
Automatic cancellations tab is back
Managing bookings just got easier. We’ve reintroduced the Automatic cancellations tab in your hotel order section — making it simpler to track bookings that are predicted to be automatically canceled within two days (including one business day), unless payment is made on time.
This feature provides you with advanced notice, helping you stay ahead of potential booking issues.
To illustrate how the “+2 days, one of which must be a business day” prediction works:
- If you open this tab on Thursday, you will see orders that are predicted to be automatically canceled on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
- If you open this tab on Friday, you will see orders that are predicted to be automatically canceled on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Car rental got a major upgrade
We’ve made it easier than ever to book reliable car rentals, wherever your clients are heading.
Here’s what’s new:
- Expanded inventory: Now offering cars in more countries, including the USA, Italy, and Spain — with 100+ suppliers onboard.
- Full insurance option: Our most comprehensive plan yet, including zero-excess and full coverage for collision, theft, windscreens, tires, and more.
- More competitive rates: We source and compare rates from many trusted suppliers and display only the most competitive among them.

More detailed insurance info at every step
We’ve made insurance details easier to understand and compare — now visible right where you need them.
- A new “Insurance, covers, and waivers” section has been added to the voucher and vehicle card.
- You’ll find full descriptions of Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection (TP), and excess amounts.
- Three insurance types are now clearly labeled: Basic with excess, Refundable excess, and Zero excess.
Seamless payments with Alipay
Great news for our partners in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan — Alipay is now supported on RateHawk! This trusted mobile wallet offers fast, secure, and seamless transactions, giving you a familiar and reliable way to pay for travel services.
Currently available for “Pay later” bookings via the Orders page and Pay by link option, Alipay can be used for hotel bookings and transport services (when issued under a credit limit). This update makes it easier than ever to complete payments in a way that suits your daily business needs.
Boost profits with gross payments for transfers
We’ve added a Gross payment option for transfers — giving you more flexibility to create end-to-end travel packages and improve profit margins.
- Pay for transfers using the client’s card directly on the booking form or via Pay by link.
- The full amount (including your commission) is charged to the client. Your commission is refunded according to your agreement.
- Press Shift+R to hide prices without commission and display only the gross price.
Book two-way transfers in a single flow
The new Round trip transfers feature is designed to make booking both legs of a client’s journey easier than ever.
With a single form, you can schedule pickup and return transfers, select one car category, enter passenger details once, and pay for everything in one go.
API updates
Major enhancements in RateHawk API V3
Exclusively available in API V3, this update introduces a series of powerful features to improve booking reliability, system performance, and global usability.
Here’s what’s new:
- Prebook step: Confirms rate availability in real time, boosting successful bookings.
- Credit card payments: Built-in payment with no external integration needed.
- Multi-language support: Now includes 32 languages.
- Simplified hotel IDs: Use numeric formats for smoother integration.
- Instant cancellation of non-refundable bookings.
- New data fields: Access additional details like meal_data, non_free_amenities, and keys pickup instructions.
- Improved room management: See available quantities and book multiple rooms.
- Webhook integration: Get real-time updates on booking status directly to your system.
Success Rate Boost feature now live on several tech platforms
This real-time sync feature boosts booking success by up to 10% by automatically updating available rates right after the search engine results page (SERP), eliminating unnecessary back-and-forth and improving the user flow.
It has already been integrated by leading platforms such as Juniper, Vibe, Grupo Iris, Iati, and Atriis.
