Meet your clients
Our clients are a Spanish couple looking to celebrate their anniversary in Paris. They are seeking a luxurious hotel experience with a minimum 4-star rating. Both travelers are EU passport holders and citizens of Spain.
The client’s ideal trip needs to meet these criteria:
- Destination: Paris
- Travel dates: 19–23 May
- Accommodation: 4-star or higher hotel
- Hotel location: Quiet area near Eiffel Tower and metro station
- Clients’ citizenship: Spain
- Hotel amenities: On-site spa/wellness services, continental breakfast included, and Spanish-speaking staff or concierge.
Here’s how to find the perfect match in Paris, using RateHawk’s powerful tools.
Step 1: Find exactly what your clients want
To start your booking, you’ll land on the main page to set up your search. Here, you’ll enter the destination, type of hotel, dates, and guest’s nationality under “Guest citizenship.” Once you hit “Search,” a map and a list of hotels that meet your criteria will appear. The interactive map allows you to quickly identify hotels near attractions or transport hubs your clients want to be close to. To customize your search results further, take advantage of the 19 filters available — from “Meals” to “Room amenities.”
See detailed booking guidance below in the “Let’s practice” section.
Let’s practice: Using the map and filters to secure the perfect hotel
1. Set your search parameters
Once you log in to RateHawk, you need to enter the basic details first before refining. Start by entering the details that you know: destination, origin, dates, and the type of passport your clients are holding.
Using the information we know about our travelers, input the details on the RateHawk main page to begin your search.
The clients’ details:
- Destination: Paris, France
- Check-in: 19 May 2025
- Check-out: 23 May 2025
- Rooms: 1 room, 2 guests
- Citizenship: Spain
- Rating: 4 or 5 star only
- Meal: Select BB for Breakfast.
Once you’ve entered the details, click on “Search.”

2. Use the “Map view” to refine location
Once you’ve hit “Search,” you’ll get a screen with a list and a map alongside it. When you click “Map view,” you’ll see a map of a chosen city with markers indicating where all the hotels from the list view are located.

Our clients have specified that they would like to be close to the Eiffel Tower and a metro station. Enter “Eiffel Tower” in the search bar to refine results further.
3. Explore the “Search by moving the map” feature
Once the map is centered, use the “Search by moving the map” function to view available hotels nearby. This allows you to see real-time options in the exact area your clients prefer without excessive scrolling.

4. Apply filters to match preferences
We know that our clients are looking to be in the city center, near the Eiffel Tower and in a four or five-star hotel. We’ve already included the star rating and breakfast in the initial search parameters, so the results will display those matches automatically.
5. Use filters to choose room amenities — Double bed
To refine results further, apply filters for hotel categories, amenities, and price ranges. As they are a couple, we can segment our search to show only rooms with a double bed. To do that, scroll down to “Type of bed” and select “Double bed.”

6. Use filters to choose room amenities — SPA services
They have also requested to utilize SPA services at the hotel. By scrolling down to “Facilities and services,” you can select SPA services. Now, you’ll only be served options in line with the client’s requests.
7. Use filters to choose room amenities — Balcony
Also, as the couple are celebrating their anniversary, we’re going to filter the search to include a balcony. To do so, scroll down to the “In the room” filter and select “Balcony.”

8. Apply filters to specify location
Our clients have specified that they would like to be close to a metro station. Scroll down to “Nearest metro station.” Click inside the text box, and a list of station names will appear. Select some or all of the stations available.

Once done, each of the filters you’ve selected will segment the list of hotels available. This narrows your search to only show what you’ve requested to show.
9. See final results
Now, we can see that there are 6 hotels in Paris available that match what our clients are looking for.

Now, you’re ready to select hotels based on their needs.
Step 2: Verify it’s the right choice
Once you have selected some hotels for your previous search that meet your criteria, you can review each one in detail to find the most suitable option. These details include the room description, check-in, and cancellation policies to find the perfect match.
Let’s practice: Finding the right hotel for our clients from Spain
During the filtering process, the list will gradually get shorter, leaving you with available options that match your search. Now, you can go through the hotels to see which options are the most ideal for your clients.
See how you can do this below.
1. Choose the hotel
As we know that the Eiffel Tower is a notoriously busy area, we expanded our search to further down the River Seine, closer to the Louvre Museum, to broaden the scope. We’re going to look at “Le Metropolitan Paris Tour Eiffel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel,” for our travelers.

When you click on a “Show all rooms” button from your search view, it opens to a standalone page. From this page, you can see photos from the establishment, an excellent 8.9 rating plus 130 reviews from previous guests.
Here, you can see the finer details of each hotel, such as:
- Hotel details
- Guest reviews
- Types of rooms available
- Nearby landmarks, airports
- Detailed description of the hotel
- Pricing
- Hotel amenities and additional services
2. Verify available room descriptions, check-in rules, and cancellation policies
Partners appreciate RateHawk’s clear room descriptions and high-quality images, to help them assess suitability without endless scrolling.
3. Verify available room descriptions
Le Metropolitan Paris Tour Eiffel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel does have one room with a balcony. While there’s only one room with a balcony, we can see from the images that there are other rooms with views of the Eiffel Tower.

Reviews are also the perfect way for agents to learn what the hotel is really like. To see reviews, click the “Read all reviews” or scroll to the bottom of the page.
4. Verify cancellation policies and check-in rules
To ensure a seamless experience upon arrival, review cancellation policies, check-in rules, and amenities tailored to each client’s unique needs. Scroll to the bottom of the page for cancellation policies at Le Metropolitan Paris Tour Eiffel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, and guarantee our clients’ satisfaction.

5. Verify multilingual staff members
Given the clients’ limited English proficiency, our clients would benefit from a hotel with Spanish-speaking staff or concierge services. There are multilingual staff members employed at Le Metropolitan Paris Tour Eiffel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, including Spanish.

6. Verify SPA services
As mentioned earlier, the husband plans to treat his partner to a spa day during their stay. The Le Metropolitan Paris Tour Eiffel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, has a wellness SPA at the property.

7. Verify proximity to the Eiffel Tower and metro station
The clients have also requested the hotel be located in a quieter area near the Eiffel Tower and the metro for easy city exploration. We can see that the hotel is only 1.2km away from the Eiffel Tower and also less than 600m away from three metro stations.

8. Complete your booking
You can now feel confident in presenting your hotels to your clients, knowing that each option offers exactly what they’re looking for!
Once our Paris travelers confirm that the “Le Metropolitan Paris Tour Eiffel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel” is the hotel they want, select “Choose” next to the room rate. Fill in the guests’ details on the form, select your payment method, and click “Proceed to payment” to complete the booking.
