Why this update matters
Some partners can only sell package products if the marker is present in the API response. Previously, these package-only rates were available on our platform but not clearly identified in API output, which meant client systems could not distinguish them from standard standalone rates.
With the new indicator, partners can now:
- Correctly identify rates intended exclusively for package sales.
- Prevent these rates from being shown or sold as standalone hotel prices.
- Build and price package products more confidently and accurately within their own systems.
How package-only rates behave
To ensure correct usage across integrations, here’s what the new indicator represents:
- Package-only rates can be sold exclusively as part of a larger travel package.
- The hotel price from such a rate cannot be displayed or sold on its own.
- The indicator is informational: it simply indicates that the rate is permitted only within partner-created packaged offers.

When the marker is present, the rate should be processed and displayed in accordance with package-only business rules within your system.
